In this course, through talks, readings, YouTube clips, and more, we explore some of the parables of Jesus such as the Prodigal Son, Sower and the Seed, and the Labourers in the Vineyard. Jesus told these parables to transform individuals and societies to live in the Reign of God, Abba. These stories challenge us, too, to change ourselves, our societies, and so live in the Reign of Abba. Our explorations of these parables partly illuminate why Jesus was crucified and what that means for us who follow him.
