BBI-TAITE and the Discalced Carmelites of the Australia-Oceania region have come together to offer an online Advent Retreat featuring the women Doctors of the Church (Saints Teresa of Avila, Catherine of Siena, Therese of Lisieux and Hildegard of Bingen). Each week of Advent, you can look forward to enjoying a short video about the Sunday Gospel and one of women Doctors; a reading by or about the saint; and several questions for reflection. Each week's content will be made live on the Friday before the Sunday of Advent. Come on the journey and be nourished by four of the greatest women history has ever known!
Fr Greg Burke
Fr Greg Burke, OCD. Fr Greg Burke, OCD, has been a Discalced Carmelite friar for over fifty years (he started young!). A highly sought-after speaker, Greg has extensive experience in leading retreats and in pastoral ministry. Fr Greg is currently the Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Parish in Morley, WA.
Dr Michelle Jones
Michelle Jones is a consecrated woman living a life of prayer in rural Western Australia. She has taught with BBI-TAITE since 2016 and is especially passionate about helping people discover the living flame of divine love crackling within the theological tradition. Michelle's particular area of interest is Carmelite spirituality, and she publishes in this area, as well as in the field of spiritual theology more broadly.
